Animal rescue in Florida lies about their dogs to help get them adopted, true hilarity ensues: ‘Budderball is related to Dolly Parton!'

Have you ever met a dog with a $1.6 million toy collection? Well, now is your chance! Allegedly… Sometimes you have to tell a little white lie for the great good of humanity, right? Well, we believe getting shelter dogs adopted is a good enough reason!

Peggy Adams, a shelter in Florida, recently decided that their dogs needed a little more oomph to get them out of the kennel and into their furever homes. They tried the honest route, and it just was not working well enough. So, they did the next logical thing: They lied. That's right. Instead of doubling down on the truth about these puppers, they decided to make outlandish lies. It's not their fault if you believe such a fabrication! But hey, maybe in their hearts, it's true. I mean, that doggie toy collection isn't worth $.16 million… yet! Maybe that dog hits the big time, and then they become extremely valuable! You don't know the future…

Even though nobody can actually tell the future, we can make educated guesses. If these dogs don't find their furever homes, then they will be stuck in the shelter, never knowing the love they deserve (or worse… but we won't talk about that). Their future has the potential to look much brighter if they get more attention online and more people can meet them. So, the shelter took some hilarious liberties, and it is paying off! I mean, has the Parton estate denied that the Budderball is related to them? No, no, they have not. So maybe it's true!
We have no idea what the future is, and we don't speak dog, so maybe Dior really can hear the future! Maybe she's been trying to give you warnings about it this entire time; we just don't understand “bark bark” or “woof woof!” So, maybe that's also the truth!
Blueberry might not look like a Goldendoodle, but these dogs rescued from unknown backgrounds could have any breed in their DNA. We don't know their history! Maybe Blueberry really does have a little Goldendoodle inside of him. I would bet that he's just as cuddly as any Goldendoodle!

Listen, it's all fun and games online, but in reality, these dogs need a loving family. Could one of these cuties be your soul dog? As someone who has fostered half a dozen dogs, raised two rescues of my own, and helped tons of other friends and family (and neighbors) with their rescue pups, I can tell you it truly is fulfilling. Watching a broken-down pup, who didn't deserve any of the hardship they just endured, go from scared to happy and energetic again truly heals something in your heart. I've gotten dogs that I brought home would run under the bed, shaking, and stay there for hours. But if you show them patience and love, they connect with you in the most beautiful way. It's like you can watch them go from old and tired to being a puppy again!
This shelter is in Florida, and there are many others in Florida that could use help getting their dogs adopted. But that isn't the only state in the U.S. that has a shelter full of dogs looking for their forever home. Check where the shelter closest to you is in your state and find yourself a furbaby that will be your most loyal and best friend forever.
